We understand the financial uncertainty that can arise during a government shutdown. That’s why UNCLE Credit Union is offering a special Government Relief Loan Program* to support our members impacted by recent federal furloughs.

Program Highlights:

  • Loan amounts: $1,500 - $10,000*
  • Term: 30 months
  • Interest Rate:
    • 0.00% APR for the first 6 months — no payments required
    • Market rate for months 7–30, based on your credit

Eligibility:

  • Must be a UNCLE Credit Union member
  • Income verification required
  • Must demonstrate ability to repay
  • Letter of furlough or self-certification required at funding
  • One relief loan per member

*Government Relief Loan Program available as of October 9, 2025; subject to change or cancellation without notice. Credit union member must show proof of being affected by the federal government shutdown to qualify for the relief loan. Income to be verified as per UNCLE Credit Union’s consumer loan guidelines; qualification criteria is based on the discretion of the credit union. One relief loan per member. APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Loan term for months 1–6 has an interest rate of 0.00% APR and no payment is required. Loan term for months 7–30 will have an interest rate determined by UNCLE Credit Union’s current market rates and your individual credit qualifications at the time of application. Minimum loan amount is $1,500; maximum loan amount is $10,000. Rates, terms and conditions are subject to change at any time.
